Alice Chen: Cisgender Fragility
These two images show how certain bodies are marked toxic by heternormativity and then subsequently policed by those who are heternormative. This makes us question who is actually engage in toxic behavior.

The subject in the images are people who are heteronormative or believe that heteronormativity is the "right" way to do things. There is also an alter-subject in these photos- the transgendered individuals the physical subjects in the photo are protesting.
I think this image does a great job conveying fragility as an idea and a subject position. It is very clear to me that the people in this photo are very uncomfortable with people who do not identify as being cis and thus, feel threatened.
Similar to the previous image, the images make me angry and upset. This image definitely does a great job evoking an emotional response.
This image is a mini-collage of two portrait photos of people engaging in heteronormative ideologies and behaviors.
I think you could actually add more photos of people protesting "the bathroom bill" or other protests against transgendered individuals to strengthen your argument and to evoke an even stronger emotional response. I actually oversaturating an image is useful in this instance.
This image captues the discursive dimensions surrouding cisgender fragility and LGBTQ issues, especially since the signs the subjects are holding are quite insulting. The analysis, then, is on a meta level, focusing on discourses.
