This aerial view of the Adelanto Detention Center was taken from Google maps. The aerial view is important to really show the desert that the detention center is located in. Given that the detention center is intended to control and surveillance undocumented immigrants, the isolation produced by the geography of the high desert is critical to understand the strategies of control that the detention center enacts.
