Dynamic Map-Warumungu

<p>This is a design statement for a digital project called Digital Dynamics across Cultures. The designer, in collaboration with researchers, created a webpage which will show a different map and information about Warumungu people and their lands each time a user logs on to view the page, depending on what documents the researchers choose to upload at the time. The aim of this digital interface is to trouble the idea of being able to obtain total holistic knowledge about an indigeneous culture. In the words of the designer, "We want the user to<br>come across a few road blocks as he or she explores the site, and to have that experience be educational, a kind of negative reinforcement, if you will."</p>
